Role Overview: This role of Technical Lead is within the LSEG RISK Intelligence Technology group. The group develops the technology platforms supporting key products including Connected Risk, World Check, and products in the Risk Managed Services space. Responsible for the analysis, definition, design, construction, testing, installation, modification, and maintenance of properly engineered information systems, containing software as the major component to meet agreed business needs. Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities: - Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code based on requirements or User Requirements - Develop software using well-adapted software development processes, adhering to team/company standards and software good practice guidelines, and corporate policies. - Lead group of engineers working with the scrum master and management to coordinate and deliver larger developments. - Ensure that there is a focus on software quality through effective testing, doing what is required to provide a framework for teams to understand the quality of our developments. - Work closely with the QA team to ensure that code is developed to a high quality, evidenced through automated testing. - Provide technical support to operations or other development teams - Build, review, and maintain all required user documentation to ensure supportability and reuse - Review work of peers and more junior developers. - Assist with improvements to prevent problems, including problem resolution workflow. - Participate in project planning sessions with team members toanalyze development requirements, provide design options, and provide work breakdown and estimates of work. - Actively participate in team and status meetings, providing timely status updates for areas of individual responsibilities within projects to supervisor Key Relationships: - Development Manager / Scrum Master. - Business Analysts. - Agile team members. Required Skills/Experience: - Proven expertise in software engineering having 9 to 12 years of hands-on experience with excellent knowledge of the Python, Airflow, Machine Learning and Cloud native architecture. - Lead ML projects end to end, data ingestion and model training - Proficient in SOA, Rest Services and microservices - AI tooling for Software development, exposure to lite LLM, bedrock or other LLM frameworks - Collaborate with DevOps teams for containerized deployments (docker, EKS, Kubernetes) - Strong experience of development and deployment on AWS using Terraform/Cloud formation - Good Knowledge of build and deployment using Gitlab - Experience in development with structured database such as SQL, MySQL, etc. (Knowledge of NoSQL and Data Warehouse is a plus) - Experience in leading a team through all the phases of software development cycle - Familiar with various design patterns - Good understanding of security implications and secure coding - Excellent verbal and written communication - Skill for writing clean, performant, readable code and reusable components - Experienced in a formal agile software development lifecycle - Familiar with continuous build and integration - Experience with Test Driven Development and / or Behavior Driven Development - Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills Desired Skills/Experience Required: - Experience with API interfaces - Understanding of multithreading. - Experience in Cloud technologies (AWS). - People management experience Education/ Certifications: - A good relevant degree is desirable, but experience and the right approach to work are just as substantial.
