THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. NEW MEXICO AIR NATIONAL GUARD (YOU MUST BE A PERMANENT PRESENTLY EMPLOYED EXCEPTED FEDERAL TECHNICIAN IN THE NEW MEXICO AIR NATIONAL GUARD TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS POSITION) This National Guard position is for a INSPECTIONS SPECIALIST (SUPERINTENDENT), Position Description Number D2897000 and is part of the NM 150th Special Operations Wing, National Guard. Military Grades: Enlisted (E-7 to E-8) Compatible Military Assignments: This position is a special duty assignment. Selected individual must meet the requirements to obtain AFSC 8I000 and must possess an associate's degree or higher from a nationally or regionally accredited academic institution or be able to obtain an associate's degree within 24-months of assuming position. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with skill in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately; knowledge of applicable laws, directives, regulations, policies, and procedures; skill in interpersonal communications, empathy, and effective listening; ability to organize thoughts, research materials, and manage case projects; skill in comprehending and interpreting directives and laws; ability to enunciate without impediment of speech that would interfere or prohibit effective communications; ability to write reports and presentation formats; and ability to communicate -orally and in writing- clearly and effectively. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess knowledge of the laws, regulations, Executive Orders, court decisions, and issues related to the IG complaints process, which include Fraud, Waste, and Abuse disclosures, the Freedom of Information Act and the Privacy Act. Skill in conducting inspections and investigations where significant difficulties are encountered. Knowledge to develop new approaches, methods, or procedures in data gathering and analysis techniques. Ability to select, adapt, and apply investigation and negotiation techniques; interpret complex laws and regulations.
