Responsibilities

  • Provide support for DataPower appliances employed within TracFone distributed applications and systems, ensuring that the management capability for these appliances are maintained and supported with the highest level of quality and availability, ensuring Service Level targets are met.
  • Provide a weekly/monthly management report on change and problem activity. Demonstrate the use of tracking and trending of Data Power appliances.
  • Interfaces between the applications, other IT Operation teams, IT Dev group, and other corporate teams, install and maintain DEV, SIT, TST, and Production Java applications, J2EE application servers, and assure optimum performance of the applications.
  • Diagnose performance/connectivity problems and errors. Provide 3rd tier support for production systems.
  • Required Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field
  • 7+ Years of IT experience with data power appliances. Experience with caching appliance XC10
  • Experience in implementation of middleware applications, including Java, J2EE, XML, JavaScript and DHTML.
  • Experience in Oracle 10g/11g SOA, ESB and BPEL integration and administration.
  • Highly skillful in installation and administration of clustered H/A middleware environments.
  • Experience of integrating with WebSphere Service Registry and Repository.
  • Working experience on UNIX, Linux and Windows platforms, and shell scripting

Overview & Responsibilites: Our IT System Operations team is searching for a Sr. Data Power Administrator who will provide support DEV, SIT, TST and Production data power appliances, data power domains and all rules defined within those domains. This position is responsible to play the role of data power developer and data power administrator for promoting changes created by data power developer through the environments and into production. This position is responsible for maintaining system availability, troubleshooting problems, and considered the "owners" of the technology. Connectivity configuration such MQ Queue Manager objects, WSRR Server objects, etc. are also owned by this position.
