Clow Valve's Metal Casting Facility has an opening for a 1st Shift Metal Tech. 1st Shift Hours: 5am-3:30pm Starting Rate: $24.90; Qualified Rate: $25.32 Health insurance available after 60 days $500 sign on bonus after 120 day probationary period completed. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Running a lathe. Removing molten metal from holding furnace and ladle stream for testing Operation of melt lab equipment including Pneumatic Rammer, Green Strength, Methylene Blue clay content, Permeability, and Moisture analysis. General clean up of area. Use of basic hand tools. Have a strong analytical sense. Qualifications include but are not limited to: Frequent lifting/carrying of up to 10 lbs, some lifting of up to 50 lbs. Bending/ twisting/ and standing for greater than 8 hours. Ability to read and write and understand training and instruction. Good Oral and Written Communication. Ability to work in extreme heat. Must be able to utilize and work around moving machinery. Must be able to utilize proper PPE including: respirator, metatarsal guarded boots, eye protection, hearing protection, apron, gloves and sleeves.
