JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY This position is for a high school teacher under contract with a district in Douglas, Dodge, Sarpy, or Washington counties to teach MCC Health Professions courses for dual credit at their home high school. ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS: - Deliver MCC course objectives in the high school dual credit classroom - Ensure academic rigor aligns with on-campus expectations - Participate in departmental course assessments - Complete required curriculum training - Maintain an MCC-aligned course syllabus - Uphold professional and ethical standards MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: - C.N.A. Associate's degree in Nursing or Diploma (if before 1970). - Current NE active unrestricted license as an RN required. - One year teaching Certified Nurse Aid courses OR - One year supervising Certified Nurse Aides AND - One year clinical nursing experience, for a total of 2 years full-time related occupational experience required. - Current CPR certification and compliance with recommended immunizations and drug testing for clinical participation required. OR - Bachelor's degree in Nursing, current NE active unrestricted license as an RN required. One year teaching Certified Nurse Aide courses OR - One year supervising Certified Nurse Aides. EMS - Associate's degree and 2 years full-time related occupational experience. - Current unrestricted National Registered Paramedic. - Comply with recommended immunizations and drug testing for clinical participation. - Currently employed high school teacher who will be under contract with a local school district in Douglas, Dodge, Sarpy or Washington counties The specific statements shown in each section of this description are not intended to be all inclusive.
