Security Specialist

About the role

You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Security Operations Division of the Security Department of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience implementing knowledge and understanding of security requirements for special nuclear material to include the procedures involved in the refueling and defueling of nuclear submarines. Experience coordinating the deployment and assignment of Marine Corps Security Force. Experience using investigative, audit and surveillance techniques to evaluate compliance with regulations and requirements. Experience of a wide range of security concepts principles and practices to review independently, analyze and resolve difficult and complex security problems. Experience recognizing special needs of complex security issues and allocating resources in an effective and efficient manner.
