Department: Location: Belknap Campus Time Type: Part time Worker Type: Temporary (Fixed Term) Job Req ID: R108159 Position Description: The University of Louisville (UofL) is seeking Information Technology Practitioners working in or who have experience with cybersecurity-related issues and topics within the industry. These professionals will serve as Part-Time Lecturers in the current NSA Cybersecurity Workforce Certificate Program and as needed, support digital literacy programs and IT certification programs. The Cybersecurity Workforce program enrolls students with the opportunity to earn a Cybersecurity Certificate comprised of three levels of curriculum incorporating technology industry badges (IBM, Microsoft, Google). The program is currently delivered through an asynchronous, instructor-facilitated online module system. The role supports instructional delivery and program outlined by the grant or program. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience with cybersecurity, information technology, or related workforce education and digital literacy initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Facilitate asynchronous online instruction by guiding students through course content, activities, and assessments Provide timely feedback, academic support, and clarification to students via the learning management system Monitor student progress and engagement, intervening as appropriate to support successful course completion Maintain accurate course records, grades, and required documentation in accordance with university policies Collaborate with program leadership to ensure instructional quality, curriculum alignment, and continuous improvement Minimum Requirements Associate's degree in CIS, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Current, relevant CompTIA certification(s) aligned with the curriculum being instructed (A+, Network+, Cloud+, Security+, PenTest+) Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to work independently in an asynchronous instructional environment Proficiency in MS Office and learning management systems
