Responsibilities

  • Monitor the pool and water facilities at all times to ensure guest safety and prevent accidents.
  • Enforce all LUURA and local health and safety regulations, including pool rules, restricted areas, and age requirements.
  • Act immediately to respond to emergencies, including performing water rescues, first aid, CPR, and coordinating with medical personnel as required.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections of poolside equipment, lifeguard stations, and surrounding areas; report hazards to management promptly.

  • Guide guests on pool safety rules in a polite and professional manner.
  • Support the setup and closing of the pool area, including organizing equipment, checking supplies, and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Assist other team members in daily operations as needed, including guest interactions, minor maintenance, and logistical support.
  • Record and report all incidents, accidents, and near-misses accurately, ensuring proper follow-up with management.
  • Maintain vigilance during high-traffic periods, VIP visits, or special events, ensuring safety and smooth operations.
  • Actively contribute to a positive, welcoming, and professional environment for guests and colleagues.
  • Participate in scheduled training, drills, and refresher courses to maintain and improve life-saving and emergency response skills.
  • Collaborate with management and other departments to ensure compliance with LUURA's operational standards.
  • Build the SOP's and training manuals for the pool operation regarding safety in alignment with the Security leader.
  • Who We're Looking For
  • Certified in lifeguarding, CPR, and first aid (local or internationally recognized).
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience as a lifeguard in a luxury hotel or resort environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with pool operations, safety inspections, and water rescue techniques.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages will be considered as a plus.
  • Eligible to work in an EU country.
  • Ability to perform rescues and physically demanding tasks as required by the role.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry safety equipment, rescue tools, or guests if necessary.
