Your day-to-day responsibilities Harness manufacturing for testing setups or satellites Evaluate manufacturability of harness designs and provide feedback to designers Assemble and install wiring harnesses and cable assemblies for satellite systems according to drawings and work instructions. Handle wires, connectors, shielding, and protective coverings with precision and care. Prepare and maintain documentation, traveler sheets, and quality records. Assist in troubleshooting and rework of harness assemblies under supervision. Perform inspections, continuity checks, and basic electrical tests on harness assemblies. Train new joiners and colleagues in harness manufacturing Follow cleanroom and ESD handling procedures. Apply workmanship and quality standards (especially IPC/WHMA-A-620).
Requirements
- Bachelor degree
- +2 years Hands-on manufacturing experience with electronics assembling and harnesses manufacturing
- Experience in soldering
- Familiarity with crimping, soldering, wire stripping, lacing, and connector assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring tables, and work instructions.
- Basic knowledge of workmanship standards such as IPC/WHMA-A-620
- Fluency in English
- A positive attitude and a desire to learn new things
- Previous experience in space, aerospace, or defense harness assembly.
- Familiarity with coaxial or shielded cable assembly.
- Exposure to harness testing tools (continuity testers, pull test machines).
- Experience in Jira Software
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification (CIS or CIT).
