Intracon Far East Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Marine Surveyor to inspect vessels, cargo, and marine equipment and ensure compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards. The role involves identifying risks or defects, preparing clear and accurate survey reports, and providing professional advice and recommendations to clients. The Marine Surveyor will use surveying tools and measurement instruments, liaise with clients and stakeholders, and keep up to date with industry practices beyond classification societies. Strong technical knowledge, analytical ability, and communication skills are essential for this role. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Conduct inspections and surveys of vessels, machinery, and onboard equipment. 2. Assess cargo condition, handling, and storage for safety and compliance. 3. Identify defects, damages, or operational risks, and provide recommendations. 4. Prepare detailed, accurate, and professional survey reports. 5. Ensure all surveys comply with maritime safety, operational, and regulatory standards. 6. Liaise with clients and stakeholders to clarify findings and provide expert advice. TECHNICAL SKILLS AND COMPENTENCIES 1. Comprehensive knowledge of ship structures, hull integrity, and marine systems. 2. Proficiency in inspecting and evaluating vessel machinery, propulsion, and navigation equipment. 3. Expertise in assessing cargo condition, handling, and storage compliance. 4. Ability to identify defects, damages, risks, and non-compliance issues. 5. Skilled in preparing detailed, accurate, and professional survey reports. 6. Proficiency in using marine surveying tools, measurement instruments, and reporting software. 7. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. 8. Knowledge of maritime safety, operational, and regulatory standards beyond classification societies.
