Control Room Shift Manager

About the role

We're looking for a Control Room Shift Manager to lead our Control Room nights team and ensure the smooth operation of site systems, automation, and product flow. You'll oversee a team of Control Room Technicians, manage operational incidents, coordinate with Engineering and Operations teams, and play a key role in achieving site performance, safety, and service targets. Shift pattern - 4 on 4 off, nights 19:00-07:00 Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop the Control Room team. Oversee daily control room operations and system performance. Monitor warehouse automation and resolve operational issues. Coordinate responses to incidents, alarms, and system failures. Work closely with Engineering, Operations, IT, and other stakeholders. Produce operational reports and communicate updates to site leadership. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support KPI delivery. Ensure compliance with health & safety, company policies, and operational procedures. Previous experience in a Control Room, Logistics, Warehouse, or Operational environment. Proven leadership and people management experience. Knowledge of automated warehouse systems. Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing incidents under pressure. Good understanding of health & safety and risk management principles.
