Project Engineer We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our Target Rock team! As our Project Engineer, you will be responsible for directing all engineering aspects of assigned projects related to design, development, and supply of valves and other equipment for Navy Nuclear applications. You will provide support to planning, purchasing, manufacturing, quality, contracts, programs, and assembly departments, as required, including proposals needing engineering inputs, engineering changes (ECOs), vendor support, quality audits and corrective action boards, and dispositioning of non-conforming hardware to resolve any in process issues and/or maintain product flow. You will act as the integration owner and problem solver responsible to ensure technical issues and questions do not impede on time delivery while providing the primary technical support to Navy Nuclear Customers. Location: East Farmingdale, NY Salary/hourly rate: $85,000 to $95,000 Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in New York. We Take Care of Our People Paid Time Off I 401K with Employer Match and Profit Sharing I Health and Wellness Benefits I Learning and Development Opportunities I Referral Program I Competitive Pay I Recognition I Employee Stock Purchase Plan I Inclusive & Supportive Culture Your Challenge Provide timely support to contracts, programs, planning, purchasing, manufacturing, quality, assembly departments, as required, from proposal through delivery Support bid and proposal activities for Navy Nuclear Products Review of purchase order technical requirements including specifications for compliance with proposed design Provide the primary technical interpretation of applicable specifications and codes imposed on deliverable items Prepare and, if applicable, make the appropriate technical submittals to Navy Nuclear Customer Preparation design drawings and procedures, as necessary, to meet order requirements Release of design drawings and procedures Preparation and review of design and qualification reports, if necessary Direct qualification test programs and any other testing program contracted by Navy Nuclear Customer Disposition of non-conforming equipment in a timely manner Prepare the technical instructions for assembly and test operations ensuring contract requirements are fulfilled Resolve technical issues during product flow from Engineering Release through product shipment Notify program manager of any potential issues that may affect progress of the project Monitor hardware through TR Operations and with our suppliers to ensure there are no technical issues stopping product flow Report component and valve status to the customer when requested Act as Project Manager for Special Projects (Design/Development), when assigned Travel to customers/subvendors as required Prepare Engineering Ordering Specifications (EOS) and Procurement Specifications (PRS) adequately to ensure all technical requirements are sufficiently passed to suppliers Must be a US citizen with a Government Security Clearance Additional responsibilities as assigned by Manager. What You Bring Knowledge of products and industry requirements. Working knowledge of applicable product specifications. Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, Mathcad, AutoCAD, and ANSYS EDUCATION / TRAINING: Four (4) year Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Nuclear) or equivalent experience Professional Engineering Registration or advanced Engineering Degree (preferred) Power Plant Systems training (preferred) Knowledge of Mathcad, AutoCAD, and ANSYS (not required, but preferred)
