Employees in this class are responsible for the review of permitted plans submitted by the permit applicant to ensure construction is in compliance with Federal, State, and City standards and engineering principles, methods, and techniques. Work assignments are received from a professional supervisor who defines the scope of the work to be performed, but the employee is expected to make technical decisions. Employees shall have an understanding of the City, Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and Water Management District Standards. They will assist the applicant and coordinate with other City personnel to ensure the permits meet the appropriate codes, rules, and regulations. Employees shall review and verify all stormwater criteria are met.
