About the role

INSTITUTE OF INFECTION,VETERINARY & ECOLOGICAL SCIENCES As Project Manager, you will join an exciting research group that is developing innovative ways to survey disease in animal populations (particularly farms in Wales). The project sits at the centre of a wide and diverse range of critical stakeholders from veterinary practitioners to diagnostic laboratories, from funders to government, from researchers to commercial organisations. The project is based within a leading University Veterinary department, and you will need to be aware of the benefits and challenges this can bring. It is essential you are familiar with the broad sector in which we work, and excited by it. You should have a proven interest in project management, be an exceptional communicator and motivator, and have an ability to work independently when necessary and the wisdom to seek support when appropriate. Evidence of working with veterinary practitioners and animal owners is highly desirable. The post comes with considerable opportunities to work synergistically across our other data science projects where efficiencies and complementarity can be identified. You should have a degree (or equivalent qualification or relevant professional experience). This is a fixed term, full time post based in Leahurst Campus, Wirral and it is available until 31 March 2027. If the project is successful, we are hopeful that further funding will be available to extend this post. The preferred start date is as soon as possible.
