About the role
This position serves as the senior advisor to the Managing Director and Deputy Managing Director for Investigations (MD/DMD) on the progress of investigations and recommends and develops actions or policies to address issues that arise. Monitor the status and progress of accident investigation reports and Board products, consults with modal offices on scope and timing of investigations and products, ensures consistency in report format, quality and structure. To qualify for this position, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 in the Federal service, or comparable pay band system. Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as: advising senior leadership in the efficient and effective development and delivery of safety investigative products (i.e., safety reports, safety studies, safety alerts, safety advisories, etc.,) processes, and functions; monitoring the status and progress of accident investigation reports; analyzing accident investigation products data using electronic reporting tracking software programs, and; developing recommendations to improve accident investigative products and processes.
