About the role
Our Lysaght business has an exciting opportunity available for a Day Shift Sheet Metal Worker to join the Production team based in Archerfield, QLD . Made in Australia since 1921, Lysaght manufactures and markets steel building products that have helped shape the nation: from iconic corrugated roofing over Australian homes, to large commercial and industrial projects. In this hands-on role, you will be an active team member supporting the production team. You will service a large and active market by supplying a diverse range of quality building products that are highly valued by the construction and building sector. Our products include Colorbond® steel roofing, wall cladding, rainwater goods, solutions such as fascia and gutter systems and home improvements such as fencing, carports and patios. We also have structural solutions including purlins, Bondek®, custom flashings and personal access doors for a wide range of applications. We are seeking individuals who are keen to further their skills in a manufacturing environment and has an appetite to develop their career into a leading hand or supervisor role. This is a full-time, permanent role offering a competitive weekly rate, eligibility for overtime, and a quarterly performance bonus. The role operates on Day Shift , with the following hours: Monday to Thursday: 5:40am - 2:00pm Friday: 4:50am - 11:00am What Will You Do? In your role as Sheet Metal Worker, you will be playing an important part in the manufacturing process and your contributions will ensure that our customers receive a supportive, timely and professional service. This will include: operating both hand tools and machines reading and interpreting workshop drawings operating plant equipment including specialist sheet metal equipment working cooperatively within a team towards operational targets successfully contribute to a safe working environment More About You Being a reliable and dedicated team player with a willingness to learn and develop yourself, you will also bring: fabricating, sheet metal or similar trade experience effective team building, problem-solving, interpersonal and leadership skills a commitment to your own safety and wellbeing and care for others a positive attitude and a keen eye for detail the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
