We are looking for a Knowledge Management Lawyer (at least 3 years PQE) to join the Knowledge Management Team in our Melbourne or Sydney office. We are seeking candidates who are looking for a part-time (at least 3 days a week) or full-time position, with current experience in mergers & acquisitions and capital markets (MAC) law. In your role as a Knowledge Management Lawyer, you will work with and report to the National Legal Knowledge Manager to provide our MAC team with dedicated, specialist knowledge management support, ensuring the lawyers have access to high-quality, curated and up-to-date knowledge resources. You'll also work closely with our corporate services teams to help our lawyers leverage AI and emerging technology, embedding these tools into the way they work to unlock efficiencies, drive innovation and deliver greater value to our clients. Specifically, as a Knowledge Management Lawyer, you will work with the Knowledge Management Senior Associate to: develop and maintain an authoritative, up-to-date collection of precedents and knowledge documentation, through active curation and regular updating to reflect current law, ensuring consistent standards of legal drafting and technical excellence across the firm's work monitor and communicate developments in relevant law and policy, and respond to knowledge-related queries, to keep practice group members well-informed and well-placed to provide effective, strategic advice to clients develop user-friendly resources and deliver training on key knowledge resources work with the MAC group to identify where AI, automation and other technology solutions can deliver the greatest value to the practice, evaluate and pilot emerging legal tech tools, and lead the customisation and implementation of relevant solutions to enhance productivity and client outcomes stay across developments in AI and legal technology and act as a champion for the responsible and effective adoption of AI tools within the practice group project-manage knowledge management initiatives from planning through to delivery, and contribute to broader Knowledge Management Group projects aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the firm's lawyers collaborate with other members of the Knowledge Management team to ensure the firm's knowledge strategy is applied consistently across practice groups. About you You will be admitted to practice in Australia and have: confidence in dealing with others, including excellent written and oral communication skills; proficiency in basic drafting; excellent organisational skills and the ability to: manage multiple tasks at once , work as part of a team, and meet deadlines; a strong understanding of, and genuine enthusiasm for, the role of AI and technology in knowledge management and legal practice, including hands-on experience with document management systems , AI-enabled tools and legal tech platforms (eg, Lexis+, Westlaw Precision, CoCounsel, Legora, Contract Express), and the ability to critically evaluate new tools and drive their adoption; a proactive, curious mindset with a willingness to experiment with emerging AI and technology solutions, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical guidance for legal practitioners; and excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and work collaboratively with knowledge management colleagues to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes.
