Responsibilities
- Project management, project planning, project coordinator, purchasing, and supervision of contractors for various projects to assure completion on a timely basis within budget.
- Adhere to and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP requirements.

- Assist management with appropriate training to assure regulatory compliance.
- Make sketches, drawings, line layouts, plans etc., and written instructions as necessary to affect equipment maintenance and repair.

- Education: BS degree in engineering or technical related area from an accredited college/university; Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical preferred
- Related Experience : Proven Engineering experience (3-5 years or more) record of technical / maintenance troubleshooting and project work.
- Equipment/Software Skills : Working knowledge in personal computers (Microsoft software necessary, Project management, Microsoft Project preferred) and basic understanding with Allen Bradley PLC. Knowledge of CMMS such as MP2 is a plus.
- Certifications, Licenses, Registrations : None required, any maintenance-related licenses would be a plus such as PE, ASME welding, PLCs, wastewater, etc.
- Sensory: Ability to hear, see, speak, smell and touch well is necessary to perform basic essential task.
- Mental/Reasoning : Must be able to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing demands. Requires strong organizational skills, dependability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion.

Additional Information
The Plant Engineer will provide engineering support and project leadership for the plant. The expectation is that this role will spend approximately 60% of the time on project related activities and 40% of the time on plant support activities. At times either activity could exceed expectation. The Plant Engineer I role will include project implementation, production and equipment improvement initiatives and support the daily operations of the plant to ensure all safety and quality goals are achieved.
