Position Summary Ultra Maritime is seeking a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer II that will have a primary focus of supporting sonobuoy production and design. This role will be responsible for ensuring product conformance to qualified designs as well as monitoring and improving product performance. The role will develop solutions and solve more complex problems to deliver mechanical engineering projects on-time, on-quality, and on-budget directly impacting project outcomes. Job Description Responsibilities include: Identify appropriate materials and process to ensure the quality, performance, and manufacturability of products Create, interpret, review, and maintain engineering documentation (Prints, Specifications, etc.) Evaluate design and manufacturing processes through analysis and test Perform root cause and corrective action analysis on returned hardware Support supplier quality and manufacturing with DfM and troubleshooting Foster technical collaboration across multiple engineering disciplines and across business functions Write reports and present technical content at peer and design reviews Required Education & Experience: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering discipline 10+ Years of relevant experience in Mechanical engineering Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.
