Additional Information

The mission of the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government is to advance the state of knowledge and policy analysis concerning some of society's most challenging problems at the interface of the public and private sectors. Within the Center, the successful candidate will be a member of a team conducting research and policy outreach on interactions between climate-change and trade policy for the Project on Climate Change and Trade: Reducing Emissions and Advancing Prosperity. The successful candidate will have considerable substantive knowledge of trade policy, climate change and sustainability policy, or both. The candidate will be comfortable and effective in communicating with relatively senior individuals in government and the private sector, who may be participants in the project, and will be willing and able to support the team with logistical and administrative aspects of the project if and when needed. Job-Specific Responsibilities: Applying substantive input in the planning of international research workshops, including: conducting independent research to identify potential participants to invite; using expertise to design agendas/schedules, and drafting research materials used during the workshop. Identify topics of research papers that will be suitable for policy outreach, identify potential authors, work with authors to ensure timely completion, edit papers (with professional external editors), and draft substantive summaries of workshops and events.
