The Senior Landman will provide land expertise and coordination in order to timely meet the demands of an active drilling schedule and other responsibilities, including "ground game" initiatives, within a geographic area of responsibility. This position is located in Houston, TX. Hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Level and salary commensurate with experience. Essential Job Functions Acquire, trade, and divest leasehold to consolidate holdings in areas of interest Manage field Landmen in all aspects of title and lease acquisition efforts Negotiate, draft, and interpret a broad range of land contracts including JOA's, Exploration and Participation Agreements, Farmouts/Farmins, Acreage Trades, Assignments, Oil and Gas Leases, and Confidentiality Agreements Write and negotiate contracts while managing contractual matters associated with the Chord assets Work with legal counsel to clear title for drilling and division order purposes Review title opinions, ownership reports, and lease schedules to calculate company working interest and net revenue interest in drilling spacing units Collaborate cross-functionally on all activity related to Land and negotiations Represent Chord in regulatory state hearings and interactions with governmental agencies, including the Bureau of Land Management and state commissions Lead internal land team communication between Land Tech, Lease Records, and Division Order Analysts This job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities of the position.
