Responsibilities

• Eaton is currently seeking a Paint Line Operator. This position is based at our Airdrie, AB facility.
• Position Overview:
• Reporting to the Production Manager, this position is responsible for manually and automatically painting produced parts using the powder coating paint system based at our Airdrie, AB facility.
• In this function you will:
• Mark orders as started or completed on DMM.
• Hang, paint and offload all parts required for production, including parts being supplied to other Eaton facilities.
• Perform daily chemical testing, environmental tank cleaning and chemical handling as required.
• Operate the burn off oven system.
• Standard maintenance and ongoing equipment quality inspections.
• Inspect finished products.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
• 2 years' experience working on an industrial paint line.
• Ability to cross train and continuously learn.
• Effective time management and prioritization skills.
• Knowledge and practice of safety precautions related to working with machines.
• Ability to recognize quality issues and make judgements.
• Position Criteria:
• Lifting and occasional heavy lifting/maneuvering up to 50 lbs with assistance or using lifting device.
• Continuous standing, reaching.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
• Maintain a positive commitment to the safety of self and others.
• Strong analytical aptitude and complex problem-solving skills.
