Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have local tour guide and travel reservation experience. Must have knowledge of planning, preparation, and scheduling of an actual Tour or Travel Program. Knowledge and understanding of Japanese business customs and courtesy, local tourist attractions and annual special events is highly desirable. Experience which demonstrates people skills; outgoing and approachable, with excellent customer service skills. Typing skills and computer knowledge is required. Must be able to read, speak, and write English. Japanese language skills are desireable. Must have experience which demonstrates people skills in customer service setting, well-organized, accurate, detail oriented, professional and courteous. Ability to work independently. Drivers license required. Must be available to work an uncommon tour of duty to include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Satisfactory completion of a local files check and National Agency Check required. This is a drug testing designated position.
