Human Resource Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Processes and coordinates timely and accurately business processes in Workday, which includes recruiting, human capital management, time and absence, visas, benefits. Monitors workflow and approvals to ensure all are paid timely, accurately, and have their HR needs meet.
• Works with supervisors in hiring and recruitment activities including consulting on titles, job postings and position descriptions, compensation and hiring decisions. Oversees the completion of on boarding of new employees, including orientation of the departments policies and practices.
• Assist employees with Leave & Benefits policies (FMLA, SLP, Short term disability Insurance) & Retirement. Coordinate with Benefits and Leave Management Specialist. Monitors timely & accurate submission of time sheets.
• Work with supervisors on performance management concerns and flexible work arrangement agreement approvals.
• Processes faculty academic & summer assignments. Assist faculty with retirement process including health insurance and relevant retirement options. Liaison between retiring faculty and UT HR.
• Run weekly and monthly workday reports to address business needs and financial reports to assist Assistant Director with forecasting needs
• Consults and collaborates with Assistant Director and College of Natural Sciences Dean's office, central Human Resources, Payroll Services, and Workday Operational Support as needed as it relates to all areas of Human Capital Management.
