Responsibilities
- LC Documentation & Settlement
- Prepare and verify full LC document sets (invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, insurance certificates, packing lists) in strict compliance with UCP 600 and individual LC terms
- Identify discrepancies before bank submission to prevent rejections and delays in physical cargo flows
- Coordinate with banks on Export LC negotiation, tracking amendments, discrepancies, and acceptance status
- Work with the finance team to ensure timely settlement of LC-linked payments tied to commodity shipments
- Maintain a rigorous physical and digital filing system across all LC and shipment documentation, ready for audit, bank queries, or internal review
- Archive in line with company retention policies
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of trade documentation or trade finance experience, ideally within oil, chemicals, or commodities trading
- Strong working knowledge of LC mechanisms (UCP 600), trade documentation, and the full shipment cycle
- Familiarity with INCOTERMs and operational risk in commodity trading environments
