Department/Unit: EmUrgent Care - Schenectady Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: Patient Service Associate - EmUrgentCare, Niskayuna Welcome to Albany Medical Center, providing excellent care to our community each day. We have an exciting opportunity for health care employees or entry level candidates looking to join our Front Office team as a Patient Service Associate. An ideal candidate must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, both independently and on a team. This is a full-time position (36 hours/week) structured as three, convenient, 12-hour shifts. This is an onsite position at our Niskayuna location, with some reimbursable travel required. Primary Job Responsibilities: Assist all patients that report to the front desk Greet patients in a prompt, courteous and professional manner Interact with a diverse patient population Utilize the electronic medical record to maintain patient records via scanning or registration Attend appointments, collect copayments, and other necessary information at time of check-in Schedule follow up appointments and referrals as needed (check out) Answer incoming phone calls and direct appropriately to team members Education High school diploma or equivalent required.
