About the role
Reporting to the Outage Manager - Power & Energy Solutions, the Work Management Coordinator will work jointly with Operations Manager, Field Technicians/Operators, Engineers and Project Managers to coordinate and schedule work at various Power and Energy Solutions Business Unit assets in Alberta and New Brunswick. This position is based out of the Crossfield, AB field office however, there will be travel to and from sites to support facilities during outages and as required - this varies year to year based on planned outages (travel approximately 30% per year).
Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate the short to intermediate term activities, achieving high levels of productivity, safety, equipment reliability, availability, and environmental compliance.
- Facilitate daily & weekly work management meetings to coordinate site activities across the Power & Storage Fleet including Coordinate SAP notifications from initiation to closeout.
- Work directly with buyers to ensure compliance within TC Energy's Supply SCM practices for creating requisitions and issuing of PO's.
- Facilitate and collaborate with operations / maintenance / technical team to prioritize and drive the Quality and Management of Change notification processes.
- Support and maintain the Work Management program including regulatory compliance activities, project support and corrective maintenance work.
- Work with facility maintenance and operation personnel to ensure work orders are fully planned (technically and financially) before being scheduled.
- Plan and schedule the execution of corrective and preventative work including:
- Working with site technicians to develop scope of work and materials lists.
- Coordination of materials and services with supply chain and contractor engagement.
- Maintain SAP data to ensure validity and accuracy of equipment, maintenance plans and tasks (Master Data Entries).
- Support improvements and changes related to the work management process.
- Maintain SAP work list and responsible for defining the preventative maintenance scope list through the work management process.
- Define and manage Outage revision codes in SAP, and works closely with Outage Manager, Facilities Technicians to develop outage work packages/scope while identifying resources and materials required.
- Act as a single point of contact for supply chain activities for routine maintenance, support with outage coordinating and provide input into the outage execution plan. Identifies and addresses SCM concerns related to provided work scopes.
- Perform backlog reviews to identify trends, common issues, repetitive problems and anomalies while tracking to developing KPI's.
- Work with procurement to manages on-site inventories.
- Work with and develop a standardized Work Management Process and adapt "Fit for Purpose" plan within the Power & Energy Solutions BU.
- Provide work management related training and roll out as required.
- Work with Asset Integrity Team to support the processing of all Master Data requests.
- Strong focus on ensuring the BU facilities achieve high levels of productivity, safety, equipment reliability/availability and environmental compliance.
- Assist the Work Management Team in the creation of KPI's to track the performance of the work management program against year over year.
Requirements
- Post-Secondary Trades Certificate or Diploma in a technical discipline.
- 4 years of work experience in Industrial or Energy sector.
- Strong knowledge and experience with SAP specifically with planning and scheduling.
- Demonstrated familiarity with project management principles and practices.
- Proven experience in a combined cycle Power Plant environment.
- Detail oriented with proven organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage numerous competing work requests and expectations.
- Strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.
- Application of analytical and reporting skills to communicate work progress and variances.
- This position requires candidates to:
- Have and maintain a valid driver's license and provide a driver's abstract (record) for review
- Successfully complete a pre-employment medical screening, including drug and alcohol testing
- Travel to and from sites to support facilities during outages and as required - this varies year to year based on planned outages (travel approximately 30% per year of up to 10 - 20 days at a time)
