About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Strategic Quotes Specialist to support Westlund's industrial valve business, with a focus on project quoting and national customers. Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage project and strategic quotations for industrial valve opportunities
- Support national customers with consistent, accurate, and timely pricing and technical information
- Work closely with sales, vendors, and internal stakeholders to develop competitive quote strategies
- Review project specifications and ensure alignment with customer requirements and product offerings
- Maintain and update quote information within internal systems
- Analyze quote data to support pricing decisions and profitability
- Provide ongoing support to the valve team throughout the project lifecycle (RFQ → award → execution)
- Ensure a high level of customer service and responsiveness on all quote-related inquiries
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in quotations, inside sales, project support, or a customer-facing role within industrial distribution or a related field
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, spreadsheets, pricing models)
- Experience working with ERP systems, preferably M3, is an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
- Interest or experience in industrial valves, PVF, or project-based sales is an asset
- Bilingual applicants will be given preference
- Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 with profit sharing and vehicle allowance
