We are looking for a seasoned software engineer to support and evolve our legacy licensing solutions while building modern, reliable systems for 24/7 customer use. This role focuses on application and service development, with responsibility for ensuring those services are operable and dependable in production. As a License Developer, you will own your services end-to-end, including application development, deployment, and runtime operations. You will be responsible for contributing to the improvement of the deployment and operational environment supporting our licensing systems, building internal tools, and enabling product teams to integrate with our services. This is a full lifecycle engineering role: you are responsible for the design, delivery, and ongoing operation of your services, with support from shared platform and infrastructure tooling. You should have a security-first mindset, be curious, collaborate effectively with your team, and enable engineering and operations. Key Qualifications Ruby on Rails Linux Experience working with CI/CD systems and release pipelines Strong troubleshooting skills across application and production environments Ability to take over legacy code Understanding of Public/Private key encryption, key signing, certificate signing Experience deploying and operating applications in cloud and/or on-prem environments using standard tooling and automation BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience Bonus skills Keygen.sh licensing Flexnet licensing Experience with containerized application deployment (e.g., Kubernetes, PaaS) Java (for legacy code) RESTful API development & use MCP server development & use
