About the role

Support the Deputy CLO in strategic corporate projects in the field of Corporate/M&A, Finance, Tax and Treasury (which includes M&A, investments, strategic co-operations (including R&D), intercompany agreements, treasury and insurance matters). Legal support to Nexperia's expansion plans in Malaysia and Philippines (procurement etc) including site specific matters. Corporate legal support across all Nexperia companies in the entire APAC Region (including setting up new companies, corporate housekeeping and ESG). HR legal support, including company matters with local trade unions. Managing disputes, litigation and claims handling (such as distributors, local suppliers). Commercial contracting in APAC (sales, distributor and supply contracts) under supervision of the Deputy CLO. Managing outside legal counsel and legal spending.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate has 6-10 years of relevant experience as a corporate lawyer or in-house legal counsel and is ready to further apply and deepen his/her expertise in an international environment.
  • A truly international mindset.
  • A completed university degree in law.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience in corporate law in an international setting gained at a leading law firm and/or a multinational company.
  • M&A experience (considered a strong advantage).
  • Experience working closely with Finance, Treasury and/or Tax departments.
  • Litigation experience (considered an advantage).
  • Proven experience working with C‑suite and senior management stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
