As an Inside Sales Representative/Project Manager, you will play a critical role in delivering an exceptional customer experience from initial inquiry through final delivery. Acting as the primary point of contact for customers, you'll guide projects through every stage of the sales process while partnering with internal teams to ensure successful project execution. This role combines consultative sales, project management, and customer relationship management. Pre-sale responsibilities include understanding customer needs, interpreting project requirements, developing specifications, preparing estimates, and securing contracts. Prepare professional estimates and drive sales of metal building systems, residential metal roofing, and component products. Consult with customers to understand project requirements and recommend solutions that best meet their needs. Manage projects from quote through delivery, ensuring a seamless customer experience throughout the entire sales cycle. Enter sales orders into company systems and coordinate internal resources to ensure timely, accurate, and professional order fulfillment. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, building long-term relationships through responsive communication and exceptional service. Coordinate closely with Technical Services, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Logistics teams to ensure successful project execution. Manage post-delivery concerns, including damages, shortages, delays, order changes, and field-related issues while maintaining customer satisfaction. Ensure all sales activities comply with company pricing guidelines, policies, and procedures. Act as the liaison between customers and internal teams to proactively address concerns, resolve issues, and communicate project updates. Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitive activity to identify opportunities for growth and continuous improvement. Deliver a customer-first experience by providing proactive communication, accurate information, and timely follow-up. Support business objectives through additional duties and special projects as assigned. High school diploma or GED required. Three (3) or more years of experience in a sales, customer service, inside sales, or service-oriented environment preferred. Strong customer service and relationship-building skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of customers and internal partners. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and a strong work ethic. Proficiency with personal computers and business software applications, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies. Self-motivated and customer-focused, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Equivalent combinations of education, experience, and training will be considered.
