Local Title: Quality Technician Status : Hourly UltiPro Title : Production Technician Location: Mebane Manager Title : Quality Manager Grade: Job Summary The Quality Technician is a key member of the Mebane Plant team . The Quality Technician is responsible for leading the quality assurance and improvement efforts for the Insulation Production Lines. Job Description Job Responsibilities Maintain the manufacturing s pecifications in Aims for the production lines Complete required COA's for customers Enter and manage quality complaints in the Lotus Notes QMS system Provide 8D's and corrective actions to customers for quality complaints Complete the quality sections of the New Item Process Manage the non-conformance process to provide timely disposition of products Active participant on WAM Q&PC Teams Create and maintain visual standards for the production lines Provide inspection of shipments as required by the c ustomers Manage inventory of blocked material in SAP Conduct internal ISO a udits per the plant audit calendar Manage the calibration of the inspections tooling on the production lines Create/Update SOP's, OPL 's with the WAM format and in Qualtrax Lead quality improvement projects as directed by the PAP and WAM Q&PC Pillar Provide manufacturing and quality expertise to the Armacell Sales team and customers Job Qualifications and Requirements Associates Degree preferred or Quality related experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in man ufacturing environment is required Ability to excel in a cross-cultural, global team environment Possess professional written and verbal communication skills Possess strong analyt ical and problem solving skills Work indepe ndently and multi-task in fast-paced environment Knowledge of Microsoft Offi ce applications and Lotus Notes Ability to manage blocking and releasing of finished good s invent ory in SAP Ability to manage documents and tasks with in the Qualtrax system Knowledge of the ISO 9001:2015 standard and the abi lity to conduct internal audits U nderstanding of statistical process control and world class manufacturing techniques Knowledge of rubber processing: mixing, curing, extrusion and foaming Proven ability to lead ef fective teams and manage others Proven experience in creating technical solutions Time Type: Full time
