Responsibilities
- This role will report to the Engineering Leader and support Barry-Wehmiller divisions in the following areas:
- Complete assigned SolidWorks Composer training modules and follow Manufacturing SOP standards - Study and understand existing machine mechanisms and assemblies
- Support creation of manufacturing work instructions using SolidWorks and SolidWorks Composer
- Assist in design modification activities under technical guidance, including:
- o CAD models
- o Manufacturing drawings
- o BOM creation using SolidWorks (2023 & above) and EPDM
- Provide basic production and testing support as assigned
- Technical Skills (Entry-Level Expectations)
- Basic CAD modelling and detailing using SolidWorks (mandatory)
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes
- Fundamental knowledge of mechanical engineering principles
- Awareness of OEM mechanical components used in special purpose machines (SPM)
- Basic exposure to:
- o Pneumatics
- o Sensors and industrial electrical components
- Awareness of common engineering materials (alloy steels, aluminium, etc.)
- Basic understanding of GD&T
- Good analytical skills, willingness to learn, team orientation, and clear communication
- Tools & Software
- SolidWorks 2023 & above (CSWA certification - added advantage)
- SolidWorks Composer - preferred
- MS Office tools (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Production / Automobile / Aeronautical / Mechatronics Engineering
- 0-1 years experience, including internships, academic projects, or relevant industrial training
