Job description We're part of ESET's Security Research Laboratory - "VirusLab" - a global team of experts in malware analysis, detection, and threat intelligence. We work across platforms (Windows, Linux, macOS, mobile) and collaborate closely with colleagues and external partners worldwide. Tools of the Trade: IDA Pro, debuggers, Hiew, Kibana, Impala, MISP, YARA, SysInternals, Wireshark, Python, SQL - and powerful internal tools developed over years of research.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the broad scale of eCrime threats with focus on ransomware and infostealers
• Connect findings to broader malicious campaigns and infrastructure
• Reverse engineer newly discovered malware samples
• Write technical reports and publish on WeLiveSecurity.com
• Regularly summarize your findings in Threat Intelligence reports
• Present your research at prestigious international conferences
• Gather intelligence from internal and open sources
• Collaborate with law enforcement, CERTs, and victims

Requirements

• Familiarity with malware analysis and tracking tools (IDA Pro, Kibana, YARA, etc.)
• Solid grasp of the eCrime threat landscape and current trends
• Solid written and spoken English
• Passion for understanding and fighting cybercriminal operations
• No Degree? No Problem.
• We care more about your skills, curiosity, and ability to understand how software works than your diplomas.
