The primary purpose of this position is to provide strategic and programmatic leadership to accelerate the acquisition and delivery of resilient and integrated space capabilities for the Department of the Air Force. Eligibility will be based upon a clear showing the applicant has training, education and experience of the scope and quality sufficient to effectively carry-out the duties of the position. Applicants must demonstrate an extensive background and proven expertise in the following areas: Programmatic Planning & Acquisition Strategy: Extensive experience in programmatic planning, government source selections, and the development and implementation of critical acquisition strategies and policies. Deep Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge in electrical engineering and kill chain technology, necessary to advise on next-generation space systems and conduct authoritative programmatic evaluations. Executive Program Oversight: Proven track record of providing direct oversight for multi-billion dollar space initiatives, including specific prior experience as a Program Element Monitor (PEM) to effectively identify risks and ensure mission success. Strategic Stakeholder Coordination: Demonstrated ability to serve as the primary focal point and build consensus among key interagency partners (such as the NRO, DARPA, and OSD) to resolve complex programmatic challenges. Leadership & Relationship Management: Exceptional capability to manage strategic relationships and lead diverse teams of senior government civilians and contractors toward achieving critical Department of the Air Force (DAF) priorities.
