About the role

Job Description Demonstrate Expert level product knowledge for IBM Storage Protect (known as TSM) and competitive solutions. Perform billable services engagements, including installation/implementation of IBM Storage Protect. Support 24/7 shift operation independently. Execute SOP for BAU tasks with skill requirements and 2-4 years of experience. In depth Knowledge on: IBM Storage Protect Server on Windows & UNIX. IBM Spectrum Protect Server and Client operations. IBM Storage Protect for Database (Oracle, DB2, SQL etc). IBM Storage Protect for Mail (Domino and Exchange). IBM Storage Protect for Vmware. DRM Implementation and Management using IBM Storage Protect. Knowledge on Tape Libraries and LTO Tape Drives. Audit application backup policies and environments. Should have desired Operating System Skills. Responsibilities include providing remote and onsite support. Analyse and resolve escalated problems within target. Problem Determination & analysis skills. IBM Storage Protect Product skills on OS - Windows, AIX, Linux (basic Unix), DB2 and networking. Cohesity NetBackup and Vinchin backup software support for Virtual infrastructure backup and recovery. Troubleshoot VM backup failures using both NetBackup and Vinchin backup software. Job Requirements Good Communication (Oral & Written) skills is essential. Ability to quickly analyze & diagnose the problem. Hardworking & Ready to learn. To participate & Work with Local & Global Team. Ready to take additional challenges. Ability to acquire skills & keep them updated. Ability to articulate and compare alternative approaches. Creativity and Judgment applied to professional, technical or operational problems. Independently generates solutions based on analytical, technical skills and business knowledge.
