About the role
In this role you will... Manage the day-to-day operations of Longwood Park. Innovatively create, plan, coordinate, and implement a variety of recreational and leisure programs to meet the community's needs. Programs include summer camp, special events, sports activities, educational sessions, and/or seasonal celebrations. Generate revenue, manage budgets, reduce expenses, and maintain inventories. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Recreation, Leisure Services, Education, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field and two (2) years of related experience.
- -OR- Master's degree from an accredited college in the above fields can substitute for one year of professional experience.
- -OR- Progressively responsible professional experience as described herein can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
- Valid Florida Driver's license by date of hire.
- Certification in CPR or willingness to obtain within the first six (6) months of employment. ( We can help with this! )
- Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years.

This position's salary starts at $56,139.20, and benefits begin just 60 days after you join the team. Manage the day-to-day operations of Longwood Park. Responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of Longwood Park, including recreational programming, facility usage, customer service, safety compliance, maintenance coordination, budgeting, purchasing, inventory management, fee collection, reporting, and data entry in RecTrac. Ensure policies, procedures, and safety standards are consistently followed while maintaining a welcoming and positive environment for all patrons.
