The pay for this role is $24 - $30 per hour DOE. Do you have a passion for people, and are looking for a reliable, enjoyable time role where you will be valued? If so, we can't wait to talk with you! We have an exciting opportunity at Skyline, a Transforming Age community. Our Fitness Specialist Assesses and evaluates senior residents' needs for exercise and fitness. Works with residents individually and in groups. Plans individual fitness programs for participating residents. Supervises or presents exercise programs that may include exercises in pool or other high-risk areas. Assists team members with orientation to Fitness Center, procedures, and policies. Produces promotional materials, newsletters, flyers, etc. as required. Inspects, cleans and maintains equipment. Maintains records of residents' progress. Assist with collecting data and reports for fitness activities as required Provides in-service trainings as required. Works in collaboration with other professionals to provide appropriate assistance to residents. Promotes the Mission, Vision, and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility. Performs administrative functions for the department. Performs other duties as assigned. What you need to succeed: Bachelor's degree in an exercise-related discipline preferred, or the equivalent combination of education and experience (3 or more years of fitness related experience National Fitness Certification required (ACSM preferred, but not required. Experience in prescribing exercise to special populations preferred. Must be able to demonstrate proper uses of the exercise equipment. Completion of a background check, may also include drug screen, physical, fingerprint, and TB test as required by state/local guidelines. First aid training and CPR per state/local guidelines may be required Physical Requirements for the role include: Must be able to physically assist in safe exercise and the safe operation of the equipment. Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 75 lbs.
