About the role

The UK Student Recruitment team welcomes applications for two Schools & Colleges Senior Development Officer roles. These positions will support the development of the University's UK recruitment pipeline by engaging schools, colleges, and other stakeholders. Both roles are home-based, with one covering South West England and the other the East of England. Regular travel within your region, alongside occasional travel to campus and across the UK, will be required. The role will play a key part in building relationships with schools, colleges, and sector organisations, working with students, teachers, parents, and advisers to support progression into higher education. The postholder will deliver a range of recruitment activities, including in-person and digital events, to engage prospective students and support their journey into higher education. The postholder will need to be approachable and a strong communicator, with the ability to engage a wide range of external stakeholders. The role will involve regular attendance at events in schools and colleges, as well as participation in higher education fairs, UCAS exhibitions, and on-campus recruitment activities such as Open Days and Taster Days. The role will also involve developing and delivering engaging content and resources to support recruitment across multiple platforms, including digital channels, webinars, and third-party recruitment tools. Applicants should have experience in delivering outreach, recruitment, or engagement activities, ideally within an educational setting, and experience working with schools and colleges. A good understanding of the Higher Education sector and the challenges facing prospective students is essential.
