About the role

We are seeking a motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Student Care Officer. We have islandwide locations available and the selected individual shall be based in a school-based student care centre. The individual is required to deliver high-quality care and supervision to children in our after-school student care programme. Responsibilities

  • Supervising and engaging children in a range of activities, including homework assistance, recreational play, and educational projects
  • Ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care
  • Communicating effectively with parents and guardians to provide updates and address any concerns
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to the children's attendance, progress, and any incidents
  • Collaborating with colleagues to plan and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities
  • Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • O level and above
  • Experience working with children in a student care or educational setting will be advantageous
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children and their families
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the development and well-being of children
  • A team player who can work collaboratively with colleagues
  • Working hours
  • During normal school term: 11am to 7pm (Mon to Fri)
  • During school holidays: 8-hours shift between 7.30am to 7pm (Mon to Fri)
