Preschool Educator (English)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver curriculum with enthusiasm to facilitate active learning and deepen children's knowledge and understanding
• Differentiate learning activities to address the diverse needs of children and promote inclusive participation
• Utilize relevant teaching resources effectively to support instructional goals
• Collaborate closely with the Centre Manager to address children's development, performance, or behavioral concerns
• Design and maintain a stimulating, tidy, and interactive classroom environment with regular displays of children's work
• Establish and enforce age-appropriate classroom management routines to ensure a safe and orderly learning space
• Supervise children at all times to maintain their safety and well-being
• Serve as a positive role model and inspiration to children through professional conduct and engagement
• Observe and assess each child's development and progress through informal, formative methods
• Prepare biannual portfolios documenting each child's work and provide constructive feedback to children, parents, and stakeholders during ongoing interactions and formal parent-teacher conferences
• Maintain accurate and complete records of attendance, progress, development, health, and other documentation required by ECDA or the centre
• Build strong, positive rapport with children and parents to foster trust and open communication
• Participate actively in field trips and school events to enrich children's learning experiences
• Collaborate with colleagues to support centre goals and demonstrate flexibility and willingness to contribute
• Establish professional working relationships and exemplify high standards of presentation and conduct
• Stay informed on developments in Early Childhood Education and propose relevant improvements to curriculum and teaching practices
• Commit to ongoing personal and professional development to enhance teaching effectiveness
• Perform any other reasonable duties as required of a preschool teacher
