Senior SAP Basis Consultant - Security Focus

Responsibilities

• SAP Basis Administration: Perform installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance of SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager, ALM, etc.).
• Monitor system performance and availability, applying patches and kernel updates as needed.
• Manage transport landscapes and transports in general. Perform system copies and client refreshes.
• SAP Security Leadership: Analyse SAP security notes and distribute them to relevant teams for comments and approval.
• Implement approved security notes.
• Lead security audits, risk assessments, and remediation efforts to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOX).
• Collaborate with business and audit teams to define and enforce access control policies.
• Identity & Access Management: Integrate SAP systems with identity providers (e.g., Azure AD, LDAP).
• Manage Single Sign-On (SSO) configurations and troubleshoot authentication issues.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor system logs and performance metrics to identify and resolve issues.
• Provide expert-level support for SAP Basis and security-related incidents.
• Security Monitoring & Incident Response:
• Proactively monitor SAP systems for security vulnerabilities and suspicious activity.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents, coordinating with IT security teams as needed.
• Maintain secure communication protocols (SSL, SNC, SAML) and encryption standards
• Documentation & Best Practices: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, security policies, and procedures.
