Lecturer in Maritime Science (Full-Time)

About the role

The University of Gibraltar invites applications for a full-time position to join our School of Maritime Science. The successful applicant will contribute to the delivery and coordination of Maritime Science programmes, ensuring that academic standards meet both University requirements and relevant UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) expectations. Key requirements include a Chief Mate or Second Mate Certificate of Competency, an undergraduate or master's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent professional qualification), and a minimum of three years' sea-going experience as a Nautical Officer. Experience in teaching maritime-related subjects at undergraduate or postgraduate level is essential. Experience in teaching at the undergraduate or postgraduate level in areas related to maritime operations is also required.
