Part-Time Acoustics Faculty

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in Music Acoustics and/or Architectural Acoustics, as assigned
• Submit syllabi for all courses assigned
• Attend Department meetings and contribute to the faculty community
• Engage in professional development to maintain and continually advance teaching skills
• Engage in service to the profession
• Attend College-wide events (e.g., Opening Day)
• START DATE
• The start date for the position is Fall 2026

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Acoustics or Acoustical Engineering (Ph.D. preferred)
• Experience teaching at the university level
• Record of creative scholarship/professional activity
• Demonstration of collaboration and participation in professional organizations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Command of technology to support professional work and advance teaching and learning
• Commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion
