About the role

The Assistant Project Accountant performs a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and processing of project cost and payment records, including providing overall support to the project team as directed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field , or equivalent years of relevant experience
  • O ne (1) year of Accounting experience preferred
  • Construction industry and / or Cost Accounting experience preferred
  • D ecision making, research and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Time management skills with the ability to organize, assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands

  • Able to retain and recall technical information
  • CMiC software experience a plus
  • TECHNICAL JOB KNOWLEDGE:
  • Works within established processes to accurately code / submit / review invoices in CMiC workflow ; consistently meet s department daily / monthly deadlines
  • Uses knowledge to collect compliance documents from vendors and Trade partners required to process payment
  • Follows existing processes to record cash receipts and / or cash disbursements with a high level of accuracy
  • Updates and submits recurring journal entries
  • Distributes CMIC reports daily/weekly/monthly to Management
  • Applies general knowledge of E xcel to update recurring excel schedules
