Job Description : Zone Maintenance Engineer Rubicon is seeking a Zone Maintenance Engineer supporting the Polyurethanes Division located in Geismar. This position will report to the Maintenance Superintendent . Job Scope The Zone Maintenance Engineer (ZME) is responsible for maintaining plant assets. The Zone Maintenance Engineer directs the activities of all daily maintenance personnel (Rubicon and contractors) in carrying out this function. The ZME interfaces with all departments on the plant site and is the primary technical and logistical resource for their respective zone. In summary, as the Zone Maintenance Engineer, you will: Work with OMC on all deviations and directives related to maintenance activities Prioritize reported rebuilds with the OMC Identify operational and maintenance improvements and develop cost-effective solutions Participate in the work order notification and prioritization process, including: Providing input to ensure work notifications and work orders meet safety, reliability, and production requirements Providing technical expertise to ensure prioritization maximizes safety, reliability, and production needs Providing technical input for rotating and fixed equipment plans to ensure quality and accuracy Track and manage backlog within areas of responsibility, including: Number of work orders, schedule attainment, critical work orders, and PMs due Determine the first-pass root cause of unusual incidents related to rotating equipment and process upsets Work with the Reliability group and OMC to make decisions regarding problem equipment, including: Specifying equipment for replacement or improvement Assisting in determining how and whether to repair equipment Complete necessary mechanical MOCs Ensure strong safety performance Plan and execute technical compliance and continuous improvement projects Ensure job compliance
