Who we're looking for Toyota's TMNA Press Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated individual who possesses exceptional technical skill. The primary responsibility of this role is to support new equipment installations and modifications of existing equipment. Perform confirmation and preparation of equipment for manufacturing production. Support various projects under the direction of the Lead Seibi while sharing fresh concepts and ideas in support of continuous improvement. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the Press Production Engineering department's objective to deploy and / or modify Press equipment to facilitate new model launch and support manufacturing production changes.
Responsibilities
- Offline and/or online robot programming
- Confirm that new model equipment meets set standards and performs as intended
- Prepare and confirm new Press equipment at the vendors
- Support confirmation and adjustment of existing press equipment to meet standards and targeted running conditions.
- Support Press Equipment Seibi activity at North American Manufacturing Companies with installation, modification, start of production, and GSPH improvement support
- Develop equipment countermeasures during set up/trials
- Engage in travel (or dispatch) to U.S., Canada and/or Mexico NAMCs and suppliers, as well as foreign travel including but not limited to Japan, Canada, Mexico. Commonly work overtime, including weekends and holidays
- What you bring
- Associate Technical Degree (or higher), or equivalent experience
- Experience as Toyota Press Shop maintenance, or Press Equipment SEIBI
- Read and understand Electrical, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic schematics/prints
- Machining Experience (Mill, Lathe, Saws, Welding, etc.)
- Knowledge of Servo Presses and auxiliary equipment
- Experience with PLC's (Rockwell A/B, and Toyopuc) and Material Handling Robots (Nachi, Yaskawa, and ABB)
- Experience Applying General Industry Safety Standards
- Ability to travel up to 20% at times (including international travel)
- Proficient with Microsoft products (Excel, Power-Point, Word, Outlook).
