Grade Level (for internal use): 14 The Role: Head of Market Reporting - Electrification & Materials Location : London, New York, Houston, or Singapore The Team : This role is part of the Platts Business Line leadership team within the Energy Division. The role is responsible for leading the market reporting teams across the Electrification and Materials sectors globally. The global head plays an essential role in driving forward our global Electrification and Materials coverage including the development of new assessments, strengthening existing benchmarks and other pricing coverage, as well as driving excellence in news coverage in collaboration with the global news team. The global head manages a global team spanning the key sectors of Generating Fuels & Electricity, Environmental Markets, Biofuels, Agriculture & Food, Fertilizers and Metals Markets. What's in it for you : This position provides the opportunity to play a highly involved strategic role within S&P Global Energy by defining and managing the Electrificaiton & and Materials portfolio. The Head of Market Reporting - Electrification & Materials provides overall strategy for the group as well as decision-making around key benchmarks. They also engage comprehensively internally and externally with key stakeholders, including through methodology development and other discussions. Responsibilities: Drives the overall growth strategy for electrification and mateirals benchmarks, ensuring it fits into the overall sub-division strategy, vision, and business plan, including shifting Business Line revenue mix over time. Oversees methodology design and development - defines approach for research and analysis of electrification and materials market activity to provide price assessments used by the market as benchmarks and reference prices in commodity trading to settle physical and derivatives trades across commodity markets. Responsible for driving the vertically oriented benchmarks part of the business through organic and inorganic means and acquiring information to drive relevance and grow at a faster rate. Strategic Market Engagement - manages relationships with key market participants and strategic relationships and partnerships with exchanges around the world wishing to leverage benchmarks. Implement new content and support development of products aligned to Energy business goals and ensure relevance of content for customers. Lead Transformation - drives AI tool adoption and workflow transformation as part of the Price Reporting Agency of the Future initiative. What we're looking for: Deep understanding of energy markets, risk management, price reporting and analysis, reference data and indices, commodity supply chain and market analytics. Experience in leading and managing a global team, including remote teams across different time zones and cultures, and the ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas effectively, strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex commodity concepts in simple terms Proven ability to lead the development, execution, and management of benchmark initiatives. Track record of leadership roles in price reporting and interaction with policy makers and regulators regarding commodity benchmarks. Demonstrated strategic execution, leadership, and negotiation skills. Demonstrated ability to lead through change effectively, particularly in relation to business transformation and AI aoption. Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates) S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $150,481 to $301,557. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
