Responsibilities

  • Soldering electronic components onto PCBAs
  • Assembling and testing products in accordance with work instructions and provided training
  • Assist in rework and modification tasks, including supporting R&D activities (for example, building and testing prototype boards or assemblies)
  • Getting involved in all areas of lab and production operations including setup, maintenance and support activities, as-required basis.
  • Assist in receiving goods and other inventory management tasks, including serialisation and labeling processes, stocktake, putting away stock
  • Contributing to best practice quality control and continuous improvement activities
  • Update documentation where appropriate
  • Provide feedback to improve processes and systems

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an Electronic Assembler within an electronic engineering or manufacturing background would be ideal.
  • Ideally experienced in soldering small electronic components (0603, 0402, and sometimes 0201 sizes).
  • Ideally IPC-certified (either current or previously)
  • Be familiar with hand tools that are commonly used in electronic production (cutters, pliers, tweezers, wire strippers, screwdrivers etc)
  • Have experience following testing procedures and using test jigs/fixtures (including running command line programs on the terminal via serial communications)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Positive attitude as well as respect for other team members.
  • Reliable & punctual.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise several tasks.
  • Self-motivated and with an enthusiastic approach.
  • The applicant would preferably have a strong recent work history in the Electronic manufacturing field.
