Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Assisting with reviewing and assessing technological advances in the civil, structural, and/or electronic engineering fields; 2) Helping coordinate the efforts of others to ensure efficient designs, timely completion, and minimum down time of test systems; 3) Exercising judgement to identify and define obscure or unusual problems; and 4) Identifying the criteria to initiate a solution where precedents are not directly applicable. OR 1 year of graduate-level education OR Superior academic achievement For the GS-5 Level: Qualification for the GS-05 level only requires applicants to meet the basic education requirements for the position.
